                                USES
This 
 injection is used 
to treat certain infections caused by bacteria such as gonorrhea (a 
sexually transmitted disease), pelvic inflammatory disease (infection of
 the female reproductive organs that may cause infertility), meningitis 
(infection of the membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord).
SIDE EFFECT
- Black, tarry stools.
 - chest pain.
 - shortness of breath.
 - sore throat.
 - sores, ulcers, or white spots on the lips or in the mouth.
 - swollen glands.
 - unusual bleeding or bruising.
 
PRECAUTIONCall your doctor 
right away if you have itching; hives; hoarseness; shortness of breath; 
trouble breathing; trouble swallowing; or any swelling of your hands, 
face, or mouth after you receive this medicine. Ceftriaxone may cause 
diarrhea, and in some cases it can be severe.
