What Pizotifen is used for: Pizotifen tablets are a migraine treatment.
They may help to stop the effects of certain naturally occurring
substances in your body called “serotonin”, “histamine” and “tryptamine”
which are involved in causing some kinds of headache, including
migraine.
SIDE EFFECT
The most common side-effect is sedation;
more rarely are dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, and constipation. In
children, CNS stimulation may occur. Central effects of sedatives,
hypnotics, antihistamines including certain common cold preparations,
and alcohol may be enhanced.
