USE
Artesunate is used in the treatment of malaria. It is not used to prevent malaria or to treat severe malaria (where it has affected the brain, lungs or kidneys). Artesunate is an antiparasitic medication. It works by producing harmful chemicals (free radicals) within the malarial parasite, thereby killing it
SIDE EFFECT
- Agitation.
- clay-colored stools.
- coma.
- confusion.
- dark urine.
- decreased urine output.
- depression.
- dizziness.
PRECAUTION
This medication contains artesunate. Do not take artesunate if you are allergic to artesunate or any ingredients contained in this drug.
Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
